Shike Design transformed Caya Restaurant in Edwards, Colorado, reimagining the longtime neighborhood restaurant E Town for a more refined menu and elevated dining experience.

The interior was fully demolished to open up the space and improve seating capacity and workflow. The existing oversized bar and booths were replaced with a more efficient bar design featuring an overhead pergola-style wood beam element. A new dividing wall between the bar and dining room created a clearer separation between spaces while maintaining a welcoming connection throughout the restaurant.

At the south entrance, new doors and sidelights brought additional natural light into the space and opened views toward the surrounding mountains. The wall separating the private dining room was also opened to create a stronger connection with the main dining area.

Stained rough cedar, dark steel, white oak furnishings, and new booths introduced warmth and texture, creating a refined mountain-modern aesthetic that reflects the restaurant’s Colorado setting.

The result is a functional and inviting restaurant interior that successfully balances bar and dining spaces while creating a fresh identity for the longtime local favorite. The community response was outstanding.
