CENTRAL BISTRO
After two and a half years in business and welcoming a new chef, Central Bistro partnered with Shike Design, a Denver restaurant designer, to refine the space and improve overall flow. The dining room was softened with new fabric seating, textured wallpaper, and updated lighting, balancing the existing materials with a warmer color palette and historic neighborhood imagery.
A major transformation came from opening the connection between the dining room and bar/lounge. Solid walls were replaced with custom metal screens, improving visibility and circulation. Large pendant lights crafted from wine barrel staves highlighted the restaurant’s robust wine program, while new tables built from reclaimed structural beams added authenticity and warmth. Together, these updates created a more inviting, community-focused dining experience in the heart of Denver.
